Over the line

You can't live your life a day in the past,
Just as you can't bring the past with you.
Despite your efforts and vise-like grip,
Through your fingers things are bound to slip through.
It's impossible to move forward while still holding back,
You can't live your life a day in the past.

Raging waters

Into a pit less sea of swirling emotions,
                                                                          Deep in blue...
Sucked into the undertow,
                                       clawing desperately to the         surface,
                                                                                                        Miles away...
Immersed in the darkness of the soul,
                                                       Sinking deeper and deeper...
To a place of despair,
Where a troubled heart is the anchor that weighs you down.

Shattered Vows

To me you said you would never
 l i e, Do                                       you  know
you've                                                     become
a l l you                                                        o n c e

     you said                                                    you would
    n e v e r                                              leave, So
explain                                   why you
don't                 wear
your wedding
To      me
you           said
   you              would
never                hurt,
Then           why
in       all
 life      have
I never          f e l t

you               said
you        would

Thorns of a wilting rose

         He crossed
   my path many times
today, I wish more than
 anything that he would
  just go away. I curse
    my heart for falling
     down my sleeve,
    for everyone to see,
            so easily
             I regret
   of attraction,
       his charm
     a constant
         of who
        pain of
 invisibility, I

            For he
            is but
            a shallow
            schoolboy, and
            I? A naïve,

Wrong Solution

Threads            of heartbreak                   c u t l i k e                           vines, her
heart             w a s         broken          a 1000          times;             with             a little
tape,             and              a lot            of glue,          it almost     seems           as good
as new.          Angry      tears of          crimson          fall,          Emotions     from her
heart do           crawl; As the                    pain recedes                 and her spirit lifts,
Her hearts             still has                           room to                            l o v e.
