Ominous and Lasting

You're

the fire blazing

brightly in the ageless

sky, Ebbing away in slow

defyance  of  the  moon.

You're  the  writhing

shadows of

a

quivering flame, Dancing

fluidly  where   the   light 

does  not   reach.  You're

the light that bursts from

a  f i r e c r a c k e r  Only

smoke   and    a    fleeting

flash  of  light. You're  the

brilliance  of  the dawning

sun, When I see your light

I know it will be a good day.

Wistful Melodrama

The  paralysing  silence  is  as  loud  as   my 

unrelenting need   to  spend               one  last  moment  with  you

The suffocating loneliness

 is as empty as  the  darkness that seems

 to reside in you

The unforgiving significance  is  as              meaningless as my life without you

The daunting realization as              horrifying as  the  fact  that

I'll  never  again  find  someone   like   you.
